Delegation Roster
Click on the link below to download a roster of our delegation.  Please review to make sure that your information is correct.  I encourage you to contact one another before CONA.  Our experienced delegates can share their insight about CONA and offer advice to the others.

CONA Registration Form
**Please note the the CONA Registration Form mailed to you is not the correct one. Please download the form below and return to the YIG State Office.

Click on the link below to download the CONA Registration Form. CONA requires each student to complete this form.  Please complete the enclosed form and return with your payment if you have not done so already.

Medical Form
Each student must download the Medical Form and return with the CONA Registration Form and fee payment.

CONA Handbook and Passport
You need to review the Handbook and bring it with you to CONA.  Also, please review and complete the Passport before CONA and bring with you as well.  We will not leave for CONA without each student having both of these items.

Delegation Leadership
Each state delegation has various leaderships that need to be filled.  These include Conference Life Committee Representative, Roundtable Chairperson, and Delegation Leader.  Please review the Handbook for more information and email khussey@jcymca.org if you are interested in serving in one of these roles.

Proposals
Proposals will be submitted by you online through the CONA website. Click here to begin submitting your proposal online.

Below are some important deadlines for your proposal submission.  Our state delegation can only have one proposal per subject matter, so it is crucial that you submit your topic to me by April 18th or earlier.  Please email me at khussey@jcymca.org with the required documents by each deadline.

Proposal Deadlines
April 18 Proposal topic submitted to State Director
May 2 Proposal rough draft submitted to State Director
May 16 Proposal final version submitted to State Director
May 20 Submit proposal online through CONA website

If you need more information on writing your proposal, please review the CONA website at www.ymcacona.org for more information on how to write your proposal.  Also, please review the Proposal Writing Guide and Banned Topics List.

As you will see in the CONA Handbook, proposals are scored by student participants based on:

  1. National/International Importance
  2. Evidence of Research
  3. Feasibility
  4. Preparation and Presentation
  5. Debatable
  6. Originality

Please give a lot of thought to these as you develop your proposal.  The proposals that advance to the second and third committees are often highly debatable but also original and feasible.  I encourage you to put a lot of effort into your proposal writing.  Be creative and do not be afraid to go outside the box on this.
